| Sunday Inspiration 6/6 | June 7, 2009 @ 12:01am | Good Sunday Morning everyone! Diva Jav is partying it up with her daughter so I am going to attempt to give a Sunday post in her absence!
I found this poem to rather uplifting and encouraging in a time when people seem to have so many struggles and even if you are not it is a nice reminder that God is faithful! tu) tu) Be blessed!!!
Victory
I refused to be discouraged
To be sad, or to cry;
I refuse to be downhearted,
and here's the reason why...
I have a God who's mighty,
Who's sovereign and supreme;
I have a God who loves me,
and I am on His team.
He is all wise and powerful,
Salvation is the game;
Though everything is changeable,
My God remains the same.
My God knows all that's happening;
Beginning to the end,
His presence is my comfort,
He is my dearest friend.
When sickness comes to weaken me,
To bring my head down low,
I call upon my mighty God;
Into His arms I go.
When circumstances threaten
to rob me from my peace;
He draws me close unto His breast,
Where all my strivings cease.
And when my heart melts within me,
and weakness takes control;
He gathers me into His arms,
He soothes my heart and soul.
The great "I AM" is with me,
My life is in His hand,
The "Son of God" is my hope,
It's in His strength I stand.
I refuse to be defeated,
My eyes are on my God;
He has promised to be with me,
as through this life I trod.
I'm looking past
all my circumstances,
To Heaven's throne above;
My prayers have reached
the heart of God,
I'm resting in His love.
I give God thanks in everything,
My eyes are on His face;
The battle's His, the victory is mine;
He'll help me win the race.

| proud mama | June 7, 2009 @ 5:36am | Yesterday my baby girl graduated from HS and today she turns 18. I'm up cooking for her party today but ONLY meatballs and baked beans!!(LOL) my family is huge so my siblings are helping me out with the fried chicken, greenbeans, pasta salad, mac & cheese and rolls! :D :D
I thought I was going to cry, but I didnt!  I am SO PROUD of her. Christ is #1 in her life and it shows. What more can a mother ask for!!! a*
Wednesday I ship her off to Puerto Rico for 7 days (I'm trying to find a way to hid in her suit case )
Congrats to all the other proud parents! We did it!!!
63 days until EMPTY NEST TIME!

Congratz to you and your daughter 80sfan!!!! Im know she will find success in her future endeavors, as my history teacher says "We are all little champions,and little champions grow up to be a big champion!!" So she just took her first step as a big champiion!!! Again congratz!!
