Weekend Inspiration 7/4-5July 4, 2009 @ 4:18am
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!! I pray that you all will have a blessed and safe holiday weekend.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BE FREE!

Not long ago, a man was telling me about how he felt as if he had wasted the first forty years of his life. He had come from a good family. He was bright and had all kinds of opportunity in front of him, but he ended up a cocaine addict. He told me, "Joel, I don't even really remember the first part of my life. I was so high and so messed up. I ruined my marriage. I blew my education." At one point, he thought his life was over, but today things are different. Now he's in his early fifties, his family is back together, and he has a good job. In fact, he volunteers for us every weekend. He said, "I never dreamed God would give me another chance. I never dreamed I could be this fulfilled."

As we approach the holiday weekend, a time when we celebrate our freedom in America, I want to remind you that no matter where you are in life or what has happened in your past, it's never too late for God to set you free from any bondage that may be holding you back. It's never too late for Him to turn things around. It's never too late to break that addiction; never too late to have good relationships; never too late to fulfill your dreams.

The scripture says that as believers in Jesus, God is always at work in us. But it's also up to us to "work out" our salvation. In other words, we have to take steps of faith to work with God in the process of our freedom. We work out what He works in. Keep believing, keep hoping, keep praying, keep attending church, keep forgiving, keep declaring His Word over your life. The more you take steps toward your spiritual development, the more of His strength and power you'll see at work in your life.

If you feel like you've wasted years or lost opportunities, if you feel like there's something holding you back, now is the time to experience the true freedom that Jesus came to give. Open your heart to Him in faith and ask Him to show you the path toward victory. Put your hope and trust in Him. Believe that He will turn things around for your good and watch His freedom come to every area of your life!

By Joel & Victoria Olsteen

WORDS TO DELCARE OVER YOUR LIFE & SCRIPTURES TO MEDITATE ON:

I am free today because Christ has set me free! I will not allow myself to be burdened down with wrong thinking, negative attitudes, or anything that displeases God. Galatians 5:1

As a believer in Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord dwells in me and makes me free because where the Spirit of the Lord, there is freedom! II Corinthians 3:17

I have full freedom and confidence to boldly approach the Father in prayer and worship. The Lord hears, and answers my prayers and sets me free! Hebrews 10:19, Psalm 118:5

I am unquestionably free–free from the past, free from fear, free from worry, anxiety, depression, poverty, sickness, and lack—because Jesus has set me free indeed! John 8:36; Galatians 3:13

Buenos Dias from San Antonio, Texas!!! Happy Freakin Fourth of July!

God is SO GOOD! He has blessed me and the entire world with another blessed beautiful year! Fireworks have been banned inside the city limits of San Antonio. We will either watch it at Fort Sam ( I'll be at home in the comfort of my own living room!) or watch it on tv (HEY HEY HEY! Front row seats!) Right now, this beautiful 82 degree and rising day, I am watching Serena whippin on Big Sister Venus. She's one game away from claiming the crown!

Im so proud of these too. They have come a long way from the streets of the inner city to the big times. Go head then!

ALERT!!!!

Those of you living in or near Gaffney, South Carolina, BE AWARE!!! There is a serial killer on the loose in that town. Gaffney is 50 miles south of Charlotte North Carolina.

The killer's latest victim was a 15 yo girl and her father. His other victims were an 83 yo woman and her daughter seven miles away a day earlier. 10 miles from there, a 63 year old man was shot to death. Be careful, Be aware.

Please pray for their families. Such a tragedy!

MORE BAD NEWSJuly 4, 2009 @ 5:40pm
Former Tennessee Titans Quarterback Steve McNair was found dead alone side a female companion. He is survived by his wife and four sons. This is very sad I have followed his career since he was at Alcorn State, he was only 36yrs old.

Yes this is a sad day in the sporting world. He was the only reason that I became a Houston Oiler fan. Being A life long Cowboy fan we were never really into the HO until he was drafted in 95. My heart goes out to his family.

"POPS" as Vince young calls him will be truly missed.

Hello ladiesJuly 5, 2009 @ 7:20pm
I understand that some of you have been asking about me. Well thank you for missing me. I have had a series of personal trials I've been dealing with. I've also been working on my book! So thank you for your concern. All is moving ahead as well as I can make it. Hopefully I'll have some time to hang out in a bit. See ya!
