i wonder if debbie morgan will want to move. on the show, the view, she said she came back to amc because she wanted to move back east to be closer to her longtime boyfriend, who is now her hubby. |

I am saying I am sure folks did not sign on or people who just resigned contracts were NOT expecting to have to relocate or purchase/rent a second place to live across the country. Sounds to me the move would be more costly if folks are going to be flying back and forth from NYC all the time, or even if they are paying for folks to relocate, would that cost more money?
Can they afford it if half the cast quits???? Just saying a couple of thoughts from my mind.
Interesting though.

| August 4, 2009 @ 11:23pm | Alicia ~ This was my thought as well. Its cheaper for the show to move to LA but is it cheaper for the actors? The cost of living is higher in LA than NY. And I've read that most of the actors don't live in NY. PA, Connecticut, New Jersey .... is where most of them live. Which is cheaper.
With this move the actors that came to mind that might not go is: Debbi, Darnell, Thorsten, and Alicia. Thorsten is married to Susan Haskell (Marty) who is now on OLTL, in NY and Alicia is pregnant .... would she pick up and move? 
W/ this move I can see Rebecca Buding (Greenlee) and Eden Riegel (Bianca) returning to the show. The reason they left in the first place is b/c they didn't want to go back & forth. So ..... interesting to see what comes out over the coming weeks. |

| Well ..... | August 5, 2009 @ 12:12am | Darnell was doing more live theater on broadway so he was busy just not doing so much TV/Soap stuff and he was directing for GL and an acting coach for AMC while he wasn't on camera.
Ms. Deb she was doing the movie thing as well, some plays here and stuff like that the soap reality show. I think they were both busy just not so much of what we would normally see from the others who are usually front and center.
So I don't think they would be in dire straits or anything, but the question is will they want to stay on? Considering that Ms. Deb JUST moved from LA to come back and do the show and be closer to Jeff and her family. They have only been back a year and a half. It changes the game for all of them. Alicia Minshew is preggers and if they are moving end of year she will have just had her baby since she is due in Nov. Thorsten just resigned, and they had to work thru some things to get him to stay on as it was. Like Jangie said most of them have homes in NY, Jersey or whatever and they may not think its worth it to stay on if they have to uproot their lives like that. I am assuming some of them will commute but still that means footin the bill to live while they are in LA and maintain the hoomes they have. I know that' any of them arent broke, but still thats a lot to ask of entire cast to uproot to the west coast by the end of the year. They have to consider selling what they do own to and be ready to move in 5 months!!!!! I know people move all the time but its going to be interesting how they work the logistics of it all.
SO my questions are now why move AMC and not OLTL since it' a studio issue or more space or cheaper to operate oout of LA? So they don't have that problem if they all work out of the same building??????? So OLTL is just moving into AMC's space and GH will stay where they are so what happens to OLTL's current studio space?
