| Monday Eppy 2/22 | February 22, 2010 @ 12:20am | GOOD MORNING NATION! I hope everyone had a FAB weekend.
On today's show: Jesse and Angie try to reconnect.
****FROM OTTER:
Otter needs someone to recap today's eppy in the forum. If anyone is available, please contact her or let us know in the forum. Thanks!
**********************************
Sorry for late recaps...I was at the doctor and so was/is Otter. I missed the first 10 or 15 minutes. Here is where I came in....
AT PVH: Jesse and Angie are all lovey dovey when Frankie walks in. He's like what's going on in here. Jesse says that they are leaving. Frankie and Angie wants to know where are they going. Jesse says he is sure they can find somewhere to go where a young doctor is not barging in every few minutes. Then he pulls Angie out the door.
Commercial Break:
At Angies office, Frankie trying to handle things for her.
Jesse has taken Angie to a PVI, where someone seems to be taking photos of them walking in the hotel room. Jesse is telling Angie they have been focusing on this arguement and that fight when they have all this love. That they are still standing against all odds, they haven't given up. Angie says, she was thinking Jesse was brought her there to treat her to a T-bone steak. Jesse says she has to put in some work b4 getting a T-bone steak. Then he pushes her on to the bed! awww suki, suki na! :D
Back at Angies office Natalie walks in to a busy Frankie trying to handle all of Angies phone calls. She comes in looking for Angie. Frankie tells her that Jesse whisked her away. And even though he's swamped playing gate-keeper, he's glad they got away to spend time with each other for a little while.
Commercial break.
At the hotel...In bed, Angie says it has been absolute heaven. But she says maybe...Jesse interrupts saying if there was an emergency they would have called her.
At Angies office...Frankie is going thru papers and then he calls about the aneortic anuerysm (sp) patient that was waiting for surgery or transfer. (A doctor came into Angies office after she had left needing her consent on surgery or they were going to have to transfer him ASAP. Frankie was suppose to relay the message to Angie, but he didn't.) Well, upon calling about the patient, he found out that he had died. Oh boy! More trouble for Angie.
End of eppy. |

| February 22, 2010 @ 2:02pm | Frankie has messed up big time. Now this is a realistic medical problem that will cause a big uproar. Frankie should have just notified the administrator on call to cover himself. That other stuff written by Pratt was dumb but this is BAD. The hospital will be sued or most likely settle but someones head will roll.

Dayum so true! Frankie's at fault for this no matter what. He should have relayed that message to Angie no matter how "busy" she is! This is E.R. Two in that MAKING! I LOVE IT! All that other garbage can be taken to the landfill!
And why is Frankie in her office? He should have let the voice mail pick up. Not handle the calls himself!

| February 22, 2010 @ 2:44pm | He really didn't need to call Angie because there was an administrator that covered her when she wasn't there. He should have notified that person that she was out of the hospital and about the patient...that covers both of them. If he didn't know not to sit on an aortic anuresym then he needs to go back to med school.

| February 22, 2010 @ 2:44pm | Andi!!! I need you to clarify something since you are a nurse.
If Im not mistaken, this is what I was taught in nursing school. If a doctor, nurse or nurse aid makes a fatal error involving patient care, is it not said doctor nurse or aid's fault?
Example: Frankie's fatal mistake. Who's fault would that be?

Frankie made a decision that he wasn't qualified to make. He really wasn't acting under the supervision of another physician but whoever is that person would probably be in trouble too. Ultimately, the hospital will be sued and that brings Angie into it. She will bear the brunt of this fiasco because he did this.

| That's what I was thinking... that because Angie is COS, she will ultimately be held responsible... plus I fully expect her to cover up Frankie's part in this.

I am not mad go head Chief!!!!!! :D
Now imma Frankie's butt cut. He should know better than to do that. A condition that serious generally warrnats immediate action. Why didn't he say that as soon as he walked in her office, esp if it only required her signaature? That would have taken all of 5 seconds!! (OY VEY)

to show that Angie's neglecting her duties to play hookie with her husband instead of doing her job. Which really makes no sense since people do that all the time. Of course we ALL know who it is. David is doing any and everything he can to get his old job back since he can't do it based on merits. Hell neither did Angie but oh well, I can't wait to see the eppy.

I must step in and defend Frankie.
The fault lies with both, but I'd say even more so with Angie. She's the new COS and she should've gone through the proper procedures before leaving. It should not have been left up to Frankie.

Okay I haven't seen the show yet so Im only commenting on what I read.
This is not Angie's fault. Frankie knew he didn't have authority to sign off on a life threatening surgery. He, as a medically trained doctor, knows the proper procedure. If the COS is not on call, the hospital administrator is.
And even with all of that, Frankie KNEW his mother would be out of the office with his father. But of course all of this is gonna fall on Angie's shoulder's cause number one, she's COS and number two she's his mother and will do anything and everything possible to save her son's career, including taking the blame herself.

D! I have to disagree on this one, Frankie has been a doctor for a minute and Angie should have told another administrator she was out, but even so FRANKIE took it upon himself to make decisions and/or take messages, etc. So this will definitely be a point of contention (plot point) between them, he could have even gone and told another admin that she had to step out for while... JMO on that but he should have used better judgment on this one.
Anywho I can't wait to see the fall out tomorrow!!!!!
