First scene we have Frankie and Colby with JR in between them - each arm around one of their necks…he’s arguing that he’s okay and they so disagree. And there she is - Ms. Debbi Morgan aka Dr. Angela Hubbard and she’s looking at test results I’m guessing…she says “J.R., Make yourself comfortable because you’re not leaving until I find out what made you sick.” End scene…
Now we see Samuel Woods at the PV Inn waving over Jesse - he says “Hey Brother” (I don’t like him…had a bad feeling about him from the get go - and there’s just something so disingenuous about the tone of his ‘hey brother’,  anywayz…) Here’s some of their dialogue:
Samuel: Jesse Hubbard.
Jesse: How you doing, Mr. Woods?
Samuel: Hey, brother, call me Sam.
Jesse: Absolutely. What can I do for you?
Samuel: Man, I got to tell you the truth — this whole back-from-the-dead thing and you taking down one of the biggest drug cartels on the east coast? Y’all are getting more headlines than this Erica Kane drama, so you are already doing it for me, and for that, I’m grateful.
Jesse: Ok, I just kind of want to — ahem — you know, put that behind me, get on with my life, fresh start.
Samuel: Well, that’s why I wanted to talk to you, because I think I could be a part of your fresh start.
INTRO MUSIC…
We see more of Jesse and Samuel’s conversation back at the PV Inn. He’s really piling it on thick about Jesse - “Look, I know you were a cop — no, no, you were a terrific cop, and you got involved in some very dangerous F.B.I. Business. The risks didn’t scare you, didn’t stop you,” Samuel says. Jesse says what can he say, it was youth - he wanted to take on the world and put all the bad guys behind bars. Here’s some more dialogue:
Samuel: Yeah. The way I understand it, you were what — tortured, left for dead? You had to leave your family and go on the run for, what — damn near two decades?
Jesse: Yeah — like I said, I’m trying to put that behind me, you know —
Samuel: Right.
Jesse: In the past?
Samuel: Ok. But the way I see it, the U.S. Government owes you bigtime.
Jesse: Really? How so? Oh, well, I’m listening.
Samuel: Jesse, we’re always looking for good people. The U.S. Attorney’s office employs a lot of investigators and I’m trying to get folks in, especially people of color. Brother, I think you’d be terrific. What do you say?
Y’all know what I say…LOL…am off to do a vidcap of their next scene then off to tell you more about Frankie & Colby scenes (I need drugs to watch them play out this “relationship”) and then Angie/JR…VIDCAP BELOW It’s just one scene with Jesse and Samuel but it will give you a DW fix There’s quite a bit more dialogue for them today as well as Frankie stuff - will be doing written recaps for a bit then show you some Frankie vidcap - great scene for him today too
For those of you behind the walls of fire the dialogue for the vidcap below…
Jesse: So you’re offering me a job with the U.S. Attorney’s office?
Samuel: It is yours if you want it.
Jesse: Whoa. Huh — why don’t you just blow me out of the water? I’m — I’m flattered, but I can’t accept.
Samuel: Why? Jesse: My wife — she’s got really strong feelings about me and police work. Um — can’t say I completely disagree with her, either.
Samuel: Well, at least it’s nice to have someone at home worrying about you.
Jesse: Yeah, well, she’s been worrying about me for far too long — and because of me — and I will not ask her to do that ever again.
Samuel: Well, at least it’s nice to have someone at home worrying about you. Jesse: Yeah, well, she’s been worrying about me for far too long — and because of me — and I will not ask her to do that ever again.
Samuel: Ok, so, I don’t know — maybe after a little bit of time?
Jesse: Hmm — no. Thank you, but, no, no.
Samuel: But I — I see in you a man that still wants to make the world better. You still want to fix things.
[Jesse scoffs]
Samuel: I mean, am I wrong? I mean, and I think in that way, we’re a lot alike. Jesse:Right now, all I want to do is focus on my wife and my son. We got a lot of lost time to make up for.
Samuel: Ok. Fair enough, but I — I mean, once that time goes by and —
Jesse: You just don’t give up, do you?
Samuel: Man, you’re a good guy and you deserve this. Look, I think we have that in common — neither of us give up.
Jesse: Not that I was eavesdropping — that phone call? Sounded like stress.
Samuel: Oh, yeah, yeah. Ever since erica kane disappeared, it’s been drama and I’m just trying to get the lady back.
Okay, the next scene we have is Frankie and Colby. They are still at the hospital talking about JR’s condition. Frankie is telling her that JR is in good hands and that his mom knows what she’s doing.
(Let me just say - it was so touching to see Angie and Frankie working side by side - will share a vidcap scene for ya’ll soon enough and hopefully a screenprint too - but back to our story…)
Okay, Colby gives Frankie a nice compliment about how he knows what he’s doing too and it was him who convinced JR to go to the hospital - that’s a pretty big feat if you know JR LOL. She pretty much says that as Frankie doesn’t think getting JR to the hospital was that big of a deal. Frankie then asks her how she’s been feeling since the whole thing went down in the hangar. She tells him
that she’s not been able to sleep at all and that her mind won’t stop replaying it over and over again. He asks her what part gets replayed and she says all of it - the kidnapping, being tied up, the shooting, the screams…like her mind is stuck on auto-repeat. Then she starts with the what if it hadn’t turned out okay and Frankie says what she’s feeling is normal. Here’s some of their dialouge:
Colby: So, are you going all doctor on me now? Is that your professional opinion? I wasn’t looking for a diagnosis.
Frankie: I know that. I’m just saying after what you’ve been through, nobody can blame you for what you’re feeling.
Colby: You went through it, too. And I don’t think I could’ve done it without you. You were brave and strong. You must’ve learned that from being in Iraq, right?
Frankie: Being held hostage is different from fighting a war in Iraq.
Colby: How?
Frankie: You and I, we knew who we were dealing with. Over there, you didn’t know what was waiting around the next corner or who was really on your side. Soon, it all became one big blur. Right and wrong somehow got lost in the shuffle.
Colby: So why did you volunteer to go?
Frankie: I managed to mess up everything else I tried up to that point — jobs, school, relationships. I guess I had something to prove.
Colby: To your mom?
Frankie: To myself. I always wondered if I had — if I had it in me to be a hero like my dad, you know, if I had what it took. And I ain’t just talking about the bravery or the guts part — I mean, taking a stand for what you believe no matter what the odds, no matter what the cost.
Colby: So what’d you find out?
Frankie: That it don’t take no damn war to prove that to yourself. Hmm. Whatever expectations I had, Iraq wiped the slate clean.
Colby: What do you mean?
Frankie: Over there, you become a part of this family — men and women just doing their jobs and surviving. It’s not about politics, glory, or agendas. It’s about survival and coming home.
NEXT at the hospital we have Angie examining JR. Am guessing y’all don’t really want the details on this so will keep it to a minimum. They talk about his symptoms and the details surrounding them. She asks what the police report said on the kidnapping - he tells her he didn’t report it and that if family wouldn’t believe him, they wouldn’t either. Angie asks JR why his family wouldn’t believe him (she’s clearly not been filled in by Tad on JR’s history). JR tells her given his past record they’d think he just wanted to get high/drunk because he wanted too and tells her he didn’t get drunk or do drugs. Angie tells him his tox screens showed he was clean the last time he came in and the report of acute pain in his side when Joe examined him. He tells her that’s still there, but more like a pain in the butt (referring to Richie) and Angie says
“All right, well, I’m not passing any judgment — especially about the past. It’s important to find out what’s going on with you now. Let me take a look at your side….Yeah, yeah, it looks pretty angry. All right, I tell you what — I’m going to run a few more tests and see if we can get to the bottom of this, ok? You know what? It would really help, though — it’d really help my diagnosis if you could find out who did this to you.”
J.R.: Yeah, well, I don’t trust any cops, so hopefully your diagnosis will help me find out who did this to me.
So maybe Angie will get more involved in this and we’ll see Jesse spring into action as a cop too! Hey whatever they do to keep DM/DW in the storyline on AMC - works for me!
VIDCAP BELOW…Mixed one from two scenes today following the above. It contains Jesse and Samuel (I’m telling ya he’s a bad one and if not,
Okay the last few scenes today show Angie and Frankie still tending to JR. Angie is asking Frankie to help her with JR’s shirt and there is apparently something TMI because when Frankie lifts his shirt he says “What the hell is that?” (thankfully we are spared seeing it) Angie says she doesn’t know, but for JR’s sake, they’d better find out, and as quick as possible!
Then we are back at the PV Inn where more of Jesse and Samuels conversation continues. Jesse is telling Woods he needs to stay up - stay optimistic. “I mean, look at me. I found my way home. Your boy will, too, I promise you. Sam, about this job –” Woods says he doesn’t have to tell him now about the job. And in typical Jesse fashion he says “Uh — yeah, I do.” I love that lol. He tells him it’s a huge honor but he has to pass. He thanks him for the drink and Samuels says “All right, man. Have it your way, brother.” Just then Samuel’s phone rings and he’s telling that person he wants to know about Erica. He gets off the phone and tries one more time to tempt Jesse in to a job and says “…Come on, tell me — you don’t miss any of this?” And this is why we LOVE Jesse because his reply is: You know what? Not as much as I missed my family. Thank you. Samuel then thanks Jesse again and says “You’re a lucky man”. “Damn straight,” Jesse says and leaves.
That’s pretty much it for today…previews show nada on AJFC, but for those interested in the Tad/Kate storyline - tomorrow looks like they are kicking off the return of Dixie who will lead Tad to Kate .
I’m going to put together a special vidcap of Jesse lines today about his family, etc. So look for that at some point today.

First off, Otter, you are the best. Thanks for all the hard work in getting the site back up. I must be honest, when I was not able to get on yesterday, sistergirl got a lil nervous–my fingers trembled on the key board–thinking, did I make a typo? Tried again-nothing. Then my throat got dry, right eye twitched, started to get hot in my cube. Then I thought, oh, hell no, the job done found out about me on the damn website. Thank God, I finally got your email message–I was relieved. Let’s hope it does not crash again–I’m menopausal, no telling how I might respond:-) Now, I’m happy again. I had so much fun reading the comments from yesterday–laughing out loud! We are some crazy ass women with too much time on our hands:-) I swear, I think I enjoy “angeandjesse.com” a lil too damn much:-) OK, back to work.

LMAO leola….ya i was so FREAKED i thot i was gonna have a heart-attack…what made it more frustrating was that all my other sites were up but not this one…and since I do web development/design/hosting and more for a living LOL I was like WTF…and GRRRR and OMG…and WTF in between pulling out whatever strands of hair i had left…I thot it was a WordPress issue but it turned out to be a server issue - let me say i did have some fierce words for them lol…totally wrecked my AJ Buzz lol…anywayz…glad it wasn’t a long downtime and you can count on me to be on it if something happens again - everyone knock on wood now! I dont think Samuel will get into Angie. I think his mind is on Erica in the romance arena. It was said that he was supposed to be her love interest to create some drama for her. She’s been dreaming about him anyway in one scene I saw before and he is attracted to her too. So hopefully if he is papel it wont go any further than the diamonds and money. But now I dont know since he is running for senate you know they would have found out all kinds of skeletons on him

See…Samuel is coming off jealous already of what Jesse has…loving wife and son that loves him. I don’t trust Sams. He was trying really hard for Jesse to accept that job…trying to cause friction between J&A. WE AIN’T HAVEN’T NONE OF THAT…not right now anyway.

Sammy, aka Mario Van Peebles–what is up with the brotha’s hair? Does he have bangs??? Mario has never really done it for me–He was good in Posse, but what man dosen’t look good riding a horse:-) When I heard that he was coming on the show, Jesse and Angie, then the son, I was like dang, Affirmitive Action is alive and kicking:-)
But, on the real, Sammy might need to loosen up that damn suit he’s been wearing on the show–kinda tight… Makes him look suspect. What ya’ll think?

Leola, you are a stone cold TRIP!!! My mom’s is going thru the change too so I totally understand. You may need to stop watching J. Hub because that dude give ME hot flashes and I’ve got a ways to go before the change! LOL!
It was a great Jesse day. DW is an amazing actor–he portrayed incredulity, suspicion, flatter, caution and cool in one scene. I really liked seeing him with MVP. IMO, the convo b/w them gave Sam a much needed shot in the arm. You could tell that MVP really liked being in a scene with Darnell.
And the dialogue was realistic–Jesse turning the job down b/c of his wife and his perspective of family and Sam pushing him to take it. Sam may end up being the villain behind this whole thing, but, for today at least, it was good to see two brothers chill over a drink–without contention, drama or strife. I don’t think I’ve scene THAT on Daytime or any televisions show in a minute. JMO.

And TSUDelta, I was wondering the same thing about Jesse. I think he did get a cut. But how he was able to keep his hair trimmed all those years on the run (and when he was at the Shack in the woods) is STILL a mystery to me. LOL!

I do hope A takes J shopping first ( A little hanky-panky in the dressing room)…. tired of seeing the Brotha in black, gray, army green/sage all the time!!! He’s a free man now!!!! I hope they @ least dress up for the wedding. Angie’s always sharp (though her hair is confusing on some days)!!! Twice @ JOP is enough. How passionate will they kiss @ the wedding???? Any guesses??? Can anyone C the freckle on Jesse’s nose and he has the potential to grow a full beard!!! Imagine that!!!!

Don’t you just hate it when meeting interrupt “important” things LOL! I wonder if Jesse plans the surprise or if it’s a spur of the moment thing. If he plans it, I hope he does dress up.
OK, I know I’m bias but Frankie and Colby… ::shudders:: today he didn’t seem as natural with her as he is with AnJ. When they were talking about how Frankie feels about having his mom and dad back just seemed off. And Colby’s “any way I can help let me know” came off a bit forced… but like I said, I bias.

When I was a senior in HS, I had my mom for College Review Math. Today when Frankie call Angie Mom when she was in Dr. mode, I laughed!!
When I was in my mom’s class, I never raised my hand or call on her because “Mrs Booker” just didn’t sound right and I couldn’t say “Ma!” LOL!!!
Can’t you just see Frankie and Angie in the middle of a medical emergency and Frankie referring to her as “Ma”!

Hey everyone…you guys are killin’ me today!! Yea…I love ‘em dark too…although I don’t seem to attract dark guys…but that’s what I prefer.
I have Darnell’s album somewhere in my attic!! It’s probably warped and all…I can’t remember if I listened to it…just stared at his pictures on the covers all the time!
Glad to see J/A/F gettin’ lines…I was a bit worried. I’m tired of Damn Kendall/Greenlee/Zach and Ryan all the D-time!!!
For the wedding I hope they let Myrtle come out to play…she loved her some Jesse if I remember correctly. Jesse had a way with gettin’ all the women to like him…except Liza and Pat (Angie’s Mom).
I hope Ang takes him shoppin’ too…He and Tad can’t share clothes forever…New House…New Life…New Clothes…it all goes together!

I LOVED everybit of MVP and DW’s scenes. Loved how they discussd their backgrounds, job stressors, being black (Sam asking Jesse about being the super fly in the “milk” of PVPD). I loved the fact that the dialogue was a “real” convo b/w two black men who don’t know each other but “know” what it’s like to be black professionals in America. Like Jesse said, “it don’t get more real than that!” LOL.
And Meredith, you’re totally right about the “lady” comment. That’s how my dad used to refer to my mom back in the day. And did ya’ll catch it when Jesse asked Sam about the telephone call and said “sound like stress!” I love the WAY DW delivered the line–Jesse said it like a Brotha from back in the days of Shaft!!! Loved it! I know some people may be offended but I can’t help but applaud AMC for showing African American culture and flavor. IMHO it’s been long over due.

That is so say her lost Gerald less than two years ago, I heart just goes out the Eddie Levert. The Levert family are among my favorites ( Gerald, Eddie and Sean)!

RJ, I thought I was the only one who caught the way DW delivered that line! LOL! Yes, the whole convo was great and natural. But, I just saw (wikipedia) & remembered that DW & MVP were in a movie together years ago (Stompin’ at the Savoy) maybe that’s why the convo was so natural. I’m trying to remember the s/l of the movie and how much they interacted, but it’s been years…I’ll have to rent it soon.

I watched the Jesse & Angie/Greg & Jenny storyline in high school, and am thrilled that Jesse and Angie are back. I just wanted to say many, many thanks for the time and effort that was spent in creating this site, and the time and effort that goes into maintaining it.

Since somebody mentioned Opal why is it that with psychic abilities she hasnt felt the evil from Robert, but has pinned down that nasty Richie, I actually watched that scene if you can believe that. Anyway maybe they will add a twist to the s/l and Opal willbe the one to figure it all out (LOL). Imagine that!!

Today’s episode was good. I think Jesse & Mario’s dialogue was “natural”.
They seemed to be very comfortable w/each other. Darnell has said that if the writers write something that Jesse wouldn’t say, that he’d cross it out and say what he feels. Not every actor can do that.
Jesse looked so fresh and lively. He has a natural sexyness about him…he doesn’t have to try it’s just natural! If he and Debbi never have had a real attraction they should win Oscar’s for it! The way they are w/each other, it seems as if it would be hard not to have it lead to something.
By the way…his eyelashes are amazin’!

You know I enjoyed the Jesse/Samuel scenes also, they seem so real.
I think Jesse got a chance to says some things that he woud not have gotten to say to anyone else you know man to man. I think the scenes were good for Jesse peace of mind and we got a chance to hear what he was thinking and feeling about cetain things past ,present and future.
I do not know is Samuel was real in what he was saying but it what Jesse needed.

Alicia, I had that same thought about OPAL. Why was she getting strange feelings about Richie and not about Robert. However, when she read his palm the other day, she did say the word “shrewd” in reference to him.

Jav and Alicia, Opal is clueless about Robbie b/c she wants to get with him!!!! Yep, another example of a woman thinking with her heart and not her head. If it was another guy–one who wasn’t a cold-blooded killer!–I wouldn’t be mad at Opal. But in this case, she’s as opaque as. . .an opal. LOL!
Dlyne–yes the lashes are divine. And so was the scene. Sooo happy for MVP b/c he looked finally looked comfortable in PV (thank you, Jesse!)
And Jav–thanks for the Stompin at Savoy trivia. I just remember the women (Vanessa Williams, I think, Jasmine Guy, Dawnn Lewis) but couldn’t remember the men in that movie. And I could be wrong about my Vanessas–it might have been Vanessa Bell Calloway in that movie.

I’m so mad…can ya’ll believe they pre-empted AMC today for some live local event. I sure hope they are not showing any AJF s/l’s today. mannnnnnnn! I guess I will have to wait on Otter and soapnet today.~walking away fuming, thinking how could they NOT show AMC~
