Well,the Image Award noms were announced,today,and I
must say,"I'm SHOCKED! Why? Because the two BEST
actors on daytime were NOT nominated!  Debbi and
Darnell's names were NOT on the list of nominees!
What happened?! Did they not submit their names,

being nominated.(That's the reason that Kristoff St. John
hasn't been nominated. He stopped submitting his name for
consideration,so that Bryton James could have a better
chance of winning. )So if D and D didn't submit their
names,fine. But why wouldn't they? They put in the
finest,most impressive performance in all of daytime
(imho. )for their work on the baby switch storyline.
So,why would they NOT submit their names for consideration?
I'm at a loss. I mean,c'mon,the guy who played "Ben"
(the guy who held Erica captive)received a nomination!
What's up with THAT?! I don't get it! Especially when
one considers the fact that Crystal Kahlil,also,received
a nomination. Seriously,NAACP?! Wow! Just Wow!
Mind you,I know that,recently,I criticized DM for her
role on Y&R(and without apology. My criticism stands.)
Still,I am able to give credit where it is due and DM
DOES deserve credit for her work on AMC,this past year.
She was PHENOMENAL when "Angie" found out about Ellie
dying. So,to say that I'm disappointed in the NAACP,
right now,would be an understatement. BAD move,NAACP!
Hopefully,the EMMYS will be kinder to BOTH Debbi and
Darnell,this year! |

I believe Darnell might have did that but in Debbi's case I do not blame her for not putting her name in fro what for her to loose again to people who can't act or who don't even be seen on what ever show they play on but once in a while I would have not put my name in either for that matter.
But on the other hand I do believe she should have put her name in cuz she did a wonderful outstanding job since she has came back and this year alone she deserve every award that is out there for and actress to win.
But we'll see in a couple of months from now when the daytime emmy awards come on.

character. Why? Well,for starters,Y&R does a poor job with
IR couplings.(Lily and Cane,not withstanding. CK doesn't

believe is the reason that they were only too happy to
hire her back,after firing Davetta Sherwood. The REAL

only thing Y&R can tolerate doing(where white people and

have sex and then break up. (Which only lends itself
to them entertaining the titillation factor and then mov-
ing on,to other characters. )
That being said,if Debbi is of the opinion that it
would be too predictable to have her character hook up
with Neil,well,maybe so,but what would be SO different
(Especially for Y&R)to have a black person and a white
person hook up,only to break up 5 minutes later?!
Nothing,if you ask me. If Debbi,actually,thinks that
tptb are going to treat her character,any differently than
KSJ's or any of the other AAs on that show,then she hasn't
been paying close attention to the show,ever since BB
died. And she,obviously,isn't hearing ANYTHING that
her friend VR has been saying about MAB and her regime,
at Y&R. If Debbi has been paying attention to what
Maria's been doing,over at Y&R,where the black people
are concerned,then it begs the question,why would she
sign on with them? (Other than wanting to work,as an
actress,that is.)
As for Neil and Harmony not hooking up,due to him being
married,well,last time I checked,so was TUCKER! So,
why would people want,so desperately,a Tucker/Harmony
hook up? Especially when Ashley is a nice woman,who
doesn't deserve to be dogged out for an ex-crackhead.
Granted,Harmony has a connection with Tucker,that Ashley,
most likely,will never have;a child(Devon). Still,a
hook up between Harmony and Tucker will not be about any-
thing other than sex,given their backstory and that Tuck-
er couldn't even remember Harmony's face,when they met
back up. And couldn't be bothered to get her REAL name,
when they were together. What is THAT?! Doesn't,exactly,
scream LOVE,to me,but,oh well,to each his own.
Suffice it to say,a Harmony/Tucker hook-up MAY happen,
(this IS a soap,after all. )but it won't last for an
extended period of time,as Y&R doesn't care to "go there"
with the exception of Lily and Cane.
And,just out of curiosity,if it is redundant to recon-
nect Debbi with Darnell,why isn't it,also,redundant to
do a Cliff/Angie redux? Especially,when it didn't
work the first time. (And don't say it's because
we're in a different time period. Putting race in a con-
text of time,is like putting the worth of people of color
on a time table. That isn't cool,ever,in my opinion. ) |

To be honest I don't want her paired with anybody come think of it let her stand on her own let her fan see how wonderful she is on her own she don't have to be paired up all the time give her a one night fling ever now and again and she don't have to be paired with Darnell in a romantic way all the time either he could be the support counslor that she be talking to on the phone sometimes you know the person we never see I say just let him stop in gc to check on her and be there to support her and when he feels that she is good to stand on her own and don't need the support meeting anymore let his character go plain and simple.

the other day Debbi tweeted the days she will be on and here they go! February 6th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 29th. The episode on the 29th will be an interesting one. (Her words!) And drumroll please… Darnell’s first airdate is February 20th. There’s still no word on who he will be playing
