Sharing old memories…talking about Jenny and how they’ve lost so much…but they’ll never lose another thing Jesse tells Angie…she says he better live a long time or she’ll kill him and they have a good laugh…VIDCAP BELOW
DIALOGUE BELOW
Angie’s voice: Oh, Jesse, no! Tear up that picture! I hate it!
Jesse’s voice: Not a chance. I’m going to frame this bad boy.
Angie’s voice: Oh, please, don’t. I’m going to beat you with a stick.
Jesse’s voice: I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re beautiful.
Angie’s voice: Well — jesse: You ain’t whipped this place into shape yet?
Angie: The maid didn’t show up.
Jesse: Oh, swell. Hey, look at this. Look at you.
Angie: Look at you.
Jesse: Me? Looks like me.
Angie: Hmm? Fine. You’re still fine. Fine as wine. Huh.
Jesse: I remember that night. The ferris wheel?
Angie: Mm-hmm. Remember the moon was so full, you could almost touch it?
Jesse: Hmm. We sat on the beach, and after the caival closed —
Angie: We slept on the beach, remember?
Jesse: Oh, really? Is that what you call it?
[Angie chuckles]
Jesse: How the hell did we get away with that?
Angie: Jenny covered for me, remember?
Jesse: My girl, Jenny. Wow.
Angie: Yeah. You know, we’ve lost so much. People, time. Promise we’ll never lose another thing. Jesse: We’ll never lose another thing. And I promise to make everything up to you, everything that we missed.
Angie: It’ll take at least the rest of your life, so you better live a long, long time. Or else I’ll kill you. Jesse: Ooh!
[Jesse chuckles]
We then see Tad and Krystal coming home. Unloading all their crap from being at Adam’s. Tad cracks me up - says to Krystal “Man. Our daughter isn’t a year old yet. She’s got more luggage than Erica Kane.” They chat a bit about Adam and J.R. nothing of A&J content here.
After a few more unrelated scenes we see Angie & Jesse again back at their place. He’s moving boxes around, getting things unpacked, ya know - starting LIFE I’ll do a vidcap (it’s up, look below) here too because there are tons of memories/old footage They talk about Samuel’s job offer - Angie blows up on him briefly LOL….Here’s their dialogue:
Angie: You’re good at this. You want a job?
Jesse: Yeah, great. I’ll become a mover.
Angie: Mm-hmm. Or an interior designer.
Jesse: Yeah, that’ll happen.
Angie: What kind of work did you do on the run?
Jesse: You kidding me? What didn’t I do? I got a list as long as my arm. Speaking of which — I got a job offer today.
Angie: Really?
Jesse: Yeah, that’s what my meeting with samuel woods was about. He needs an investigator.
Angie: Forget it, no way.
Jesse: I told him that I —
Angie: I swear, Jesse, if you take any job on earth that requires you to carry a gun —
Jesse: Will you listen to me?
Angie: You better be afraid, very afraid!
Jesse: Can I get a — can I —
Angie: You are not going back into law enforcement!
Jesse: Hey, I’m just trying —
Angie: Look, you owe it to me, you owe it to frankie to stay out of the line of fire.
Jesse: Can I get a word in edgewise here, please? If you’d listen, I was about to tell you that I think I want to be a shoemaker — a cobbler. That’s what I’ll do.
Angie: That’s the ticket.
Jesse: Close your eyes.
Angie: No, I’m not joking, Jesse. I don’t care what other kind of job you take. You — you can stand on the street corner selling fat burgers if you want to. Jesse: Yeah, that doesn’t speak to me. Can’t think why the hell not. Close your eyes! Come on, now.
Jesse: Check this out. [Jesse laughs] (He pulls out his old cap from back in the day)
Jesse: Remember this? Oh, my god. Your father used to hate this cap, huh?
[Angie continues laughing]
Jesse: “No ‘count hoodlum!” He used to call me.
Angie: Oh — you know, you could’ve shown up in a — in a tux and a top hat, and my father still would’ve been on your case.
Jesse: Piece of work, that father of yours.
Angie: Yeah, he never opened his mind. Never learned a thing.
Jesse: Unlike this kid. Check out this open mind. Boo-yah!
[Angie chuckles]
Jesse: 20 years running — no more cops and robbers for me. How is that for open, hmm?
Angie: I love it.
Jesse: You love it?
Angie: I love you.
Jesse: Hmm. Who better?
VIDCAP BELOW - has the scene above and the next two times we see them. Y’all watching live are scooping me - stop it LOL….
Dialogue in the scene below, Jesse has opened a box and found Angie’s old nightgown from back in the day…screenshots for you below - and one almost naked one for you know who LMAO
Jesse: Fan me with a brick. I don’t believe it.
Angie: What, another awful picture of me?
Angie: Yeah, I kept it. I kept it because it was the beginning. The real beginning of you and me.
[Jesse sighs] — we get a flashback to that time…
Jesse: Oh, baby — baby, you’re so fine. This is worth the wait.
Angie: I’m sorry I took so long.
Jesse: No, hey — hey, it’s all right, it’s all right. Ok? It’s no problem at all. You just slip out of this. Angie, why are your hands so cold, huh?
Angie: I don’t know.
Jesse: Well, I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I’m going to warm you up, ok?
back to current day…
Angie: Little did you know what you were getting yourself into.
Scene Ends…ARE YOU LOVING IT, LIKE ME?
We finally get back to A&J continuing the dialogue below:
Jesse: This little nighty nightgown, man — it rocked my world. And it changed my life.
Angie: Just the nightgown?
Jesse: Well, actually, you slipping it on is what did it for me.
Angie: Oh, god, I was such a baby.
Jesse: You were my baby.
Flashing back…
Jesse: What’s wrong? What’s wrong?
Angie: Nothing.
Jesse: Well, what — why are you so upset, huh? Oh, look — listen, listen, baby, listen, ok? We ain’t got to do nothing that you ain’t ready to do, ok?
Angie: Oh, Jesse, I can’t help it. This is so important to me, I just —I — I just can’t go through with it until I’m married. Please, Jesse, say you understand.
Jesse: Hey, come on, I under– you know I understand, baby.
Current day…
Angie: And off we ran to a justice of the peace.
Jesse: Hmm.
Angie: Oh, and I -I wore your shirt as a dress.
Jesse: That’s right. I loved the way you looked in my shirt. Are you kidding me?
Angie: Well, you must’ve been blinded by love.
[Jesse and angie chuckle]
Jesse: And those flowers — those raggedy flowers — remember those?
Angie: Daffodils, daffodils.
Jesse: Ah.
Angie: And they were lovely because you picked them.
Jesse: Daffodils —
Angie: Especially for moi.
Jesse: I stole them — shh — technically.
[Angie laughs]
Jesse: They were half dead anyway, come on.
Angie: Well, I don’t care. To me, they were beautiful.
Jesse: I’ll be right back.
Angie: Where are you going?
Jesse: I won’t be long.
Angie: You’re going to desert me and my nightgown? Has it lost its powers?
Jesse: I’ll give you the answer to that when I get back. All right? I will give you a hint, though. Hold that thought.
OKAY LAST BIT OF DIALOGUE TODAY…
Jesse: Bam.
Angie: Ah! Ha. Thank you.
Jesse: Oh, sweat, look at this — Ma’s ring. You kept it.
Angie: Of course I kept it — made me feel closer to you. You know, I used to wear it on a chain around my neck. And I was going to pass it on to Frankie when he found the love of his life.
Flashback….
Jesse: Angie, I want you to marry me.
Angie: Marry you? Jesse: Yeah, I don’t — I don’t — I don’t want to wait anymore, you know?
Angie: But — jesse: Angie, look, you love me, right? And I love you, so come on.
Angie: Jesse of course I love you.
Jesse: Look, now, I don’t want you to think just because I got you in this motel room and I’m going to try to get you into bed — baby, I need you. I need you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. (current day now) I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Huh.
Angie: All right — tell me. What don’t I know?
Jesse: That nightgown back then? It wasn’t the nightgown — well, it was perfect. But it was you, baby. I mean, you would’ve looked great in a paper bag. You still would’ve been my angel. It’s just so — strong, this. Magic is still there, and it always will be, baby. It’s — it’s just beyond belief.
END SCENE - I loved this line by Jesse to Angie: “…you would’ve looked great in a paper bag. You still would’ve been my angel…”
Next and last time we see them today - dialogue below:
Jesse: How did you do it?
Angie: Survive without you?
Jesse: No, stay so beautiful for so long.
Angie: Easy — your eyes are totally shot.
Jesse: Oh.
[Jesse chuckles]
Jesse: What are you talking about? I got the eyes of a hawk.
Angie: A hawk who needs glasses.
Jesse: No, she didn’t.
[Angie and jesse chuckle]
Jesse: All right, whatever. Do your little modesty thing. You wouldn’t be my angel otherwise.
Angie: I love it when you call me that. I always did.
Jesse: It’s the truth. Hey, come on, baby. Get dressed.
Angie: Oh, well, what for?
Jesse: Get up, get up. “What for?” We’re going out.
Angie: Where?
Jesse: Trust me — if you liked the daffodils, it’s going to knock your socks off. Come on.
[Angie chuckles]

Hey, jav and jhgrl, I’m grinning too. I better be careful though, this kind of grinning is not allowed in corporate america. Everybody walks around with that fake ass mask of tolerance. Which is why I’m so happy about this website, I can sneak away for a few minutes and be with real folk–either that or medication.
I totally agree with ya’ll–that scene was absolutly sweet. It’s one of my favorite’s–up there with the hot and heavy cabin scene. I love it when they tell each other how fine he/she is. The dialog is 100% grown folk, chocolate love!!

The ring she had on today was a pearl with a very thin band. Jesse’s mother’s ring was a diamond with a larger gold band.

Twin! Well bowl be over! Now YaYa is gorgeous and a pretty good actress and IMO she’s done better than Eva and lot of ANTM contestants. But AMC is wrong for that–I still think Kyla Pratt (Breanna from One On One) would have been a better choice.
Hey, she and Debbi were BOTH in Love and Basketball. The casting of Kyla would have been a slam dunk (pun intended!) in my opinion.’
But at least YaYa can act.

Jav, YaYa was on Cycle 30–runner up to winner Eva Pigford. IMO, they were the best contestants by far (even though I loved seeing my former neigher Nik on Cycle 4–shout out to ATL-iens!!!)

She told me….” I missed them the first time around, but they are gooood now….I watch them at 11:00 in the morning at 9:00 at nite, set my alarm for 12:00 midnight and the the get up early in the morning and watch again at 6:00 am”!!!

I love all JnA’s lines –some of us even started a Top 10 list on another site–they are all good. But I agree last Friday’s prayer scene was Gold! And I loved every word today–in real time and flash back. I guess it’s because it seems like DW and DM are saying more than lines. They talk with their eyes, their stance, their energy. They are the definition of on-screen CHEMISTRY.
And yes, I also feel like I’m intruding on their scenes. It’s like unconsciously coming across a real couple at their most intimate moments. For most soap couples the only “intimacy” you see is sex–and most of that still isn’t intimate. They’re just doing what the script calls for.
Angie and Jesse “make love” in every scene, IMO. They did it today–as they unpacked boxes, kissed w and w/o candy (LOL!), sat on the floor, hugged. For them, physical consummation is just an extension of the love the make every moment.
I know they are “characters” but they really epitomize a healthy marriage–friendship, fidelty, fun. Romance, respect. Purpose and passion.

Angie & Jesse put the C H E M I S T R Y in chemistry. They say so much w/ their eyes. The thing I love most about this couple is that they are best friends, partners, lovers, and husband/wife. Most soap couples don’t have intimacy just sex but not Angie & Jesse….they ooze intimacy.
Just watching them look at each other, hold hands, talk, etc. is fabulous.
Those scenes last Friday brought tears to my eyes. What I loved most is that we got to see people on soaps thanking/phrasing God when nothing was wrong or someone was dying. They just thanked Him for them.

And I’m thanking God for them Jangie and Jav. Seriously. I didn’t watch soaps for years because of all the mess I saw. I know people aren’t perfect but there was no balance IMO. All lust and drama. And if you did see AA characters–they were sidekicks (Layla from OLTL, Dre-AMC, Lainey-GH), sell-outs (Lily-Y&R) or sacrificial lambs (Evangeline-OTLT, Frankie 2002-AMC).
Jesse and Angie are showing black love–with all it’s reality and rawness, fun and flaws–on TV and every culture, race and ethnicity NEEDS to see it. Because true love and intimacy b/w two AA characters has been sorely missing from television. Shout out to Tyler Perry for holding it down on the film front but TV has been lacking. JMO.

RJ, I love seeing an AA couple on TV that I can relate too. I wasn’t old enough to watch J&A back in the day but I am not to young to respect them. I have heard about J&A since as far back as I can remember. (I am 24 BTW) My mom & sisters have talked about them so that when I heard they where coming back…..I felt like I knew them already. I have to admit seeing them is 100x better. Their love for each other reminds me of my parents….they’ve been married for over 40 years and they still are playful, flirty, loving, friendly, and respectful of one another. Its great to see a AA couple depicted this way.

I remember things that have an impact on me. And being as young as I was, it was so rare to see real love, flaws and all, portrayed between African Americans that it stuck. I remember a lot of it because for many of my generation, it was the first time that people who looked like us and were allowed to act like us too. They weren’t caricatures. They portrayed real people with real issues. They just happened to be of color. I remember how much pride I felt when I would watch them. Still do!

I went to high school about 4 blocks from the studio where they filmed AMC in the 80s. I still remember my sister and I cut 6th period and stood out in the rain for an hour and a half to see Darnell and Debbi. By the time they came out, we must have looked like 2 drowned rats! Just got home and watch the clips…OMG…be still my heart!!

I love how Jesse’s smile is all for Angie and her smile for him!

At the end of today’s show when Jesse was telling Angie how she has remained beautiful after all these years and she said his vision is off. He said she was being modest. He was so right. Debbie is beautiful. I hope to look as good as her when I am 51. She has one of the most prettiest smiles I’ve ever seen. Those dimples are priceless.

Now that I have watched Angie and Jesse about a dozen, its time for me to add to my AJ edits.
I record the show on DVR and then edit out JA,record them (Angie/Jesse/Frankie on a VHS tape until it is completely filled,then when I want to watch I have the Hubbard family only, you would suprise how it all fits together like a movie!!! My next project would be to put them on DVD!
I’m so loving the Hubbard Family Movies !!!

This two have had me in tears since they came back. Tears of joy of course. Do you know how many times I have watched their train scene reunion? And every single time I cry.
I read an interview w/ Debbie & Darnell and they said that members of AMC’s crew were in tears. Darnell said when you can make a cameraman cry you’ve done your job. ICAM.

Debbie & Darnell said, in shooting their train scene reunion, that it wasn’t hard to cry b/c the tears where real. B/c they were both happy to be working together again and playing these characters that they know & love. They said it was definitely a since of nostalgia.

JH, one of my many favorite J&A scenes is…..When Angie sees Jesse at the cemetery and faints. He is telling her she’s gonna be okay and then he realizes that he is holding her for the first time in 20 years and he hugs her tighter and says, “Oh God”. (Cried) Then when he says (in that same scene) “Oh God I love you” and kisses her on the lips and then cheek. (More tears)
When Angie is in the hospital after she faints and she tells Frankie, “Frankie, you don’t know how long I prayed to God to give Jesse back to me”. (Even more tears)
This two have had me in tears for the past 3 months. (LOL) I love it.

LOL Jangie, I know the feeling. But that scene is one of my favorites too. When he listens for her heartbeat, how sweet is that? And he was so gentle as he laid her on the ground. Almost as if her was afraid she would break. Darnell always played Jesse so respectful of Angie. Reverant if you will. It’s beautiful to watch.

The thing I love about Debbie/Darnell is the way they use their eyes to say so much to each other. I.E: The scene when J&A are in the cabin and Angie had just saw the scars on J’s back. He says he won’t let these people touch her….he puts on his coat to leave, she snatches it off, and they say nothing. But there eyes say everything. They move in close and kiss. I love that scene b/c no words where spoken between them fr about 2 minutes but their eyes said so much. Great scene. Y’all know which scene I’m referring to, right?

Jesse has always treated Angie like a princess. And he’s her Knight In Shining Armor! No one–not Cliff, Jeff, Charles, Jacob–ever replaced Jesse in her heart.
One of my fave lines (after Jesse expressed jealousy over her dating Remy) Angie reassured him–

I.E: The scene when J&A are in the cabin and Angie pins Jesse to the door. ( I have dubbed that scene “The Door” scene) He tried to be strong but when A started to kiss his chest & neck he was powerless to resist Mrs. Hubbard. When he gave in and said “Oh God” and picked her up…..I was a puddle. How great was that scene? J picked A up like she was light as a feather. Then when he stood back and held out his hand for her…….I was like “Y’all better go!!!!!!!!!” (LOL)

I am in complete agreement with you. I was really little when JnA were first on (I’m 22 now) and didn’t even watch All My Children. But my mom was a HUGE fan, and when she told me that I would like Angie and Jesse, I have had my eyes glued to the screen since they have came back to the show! I love the scene where they had just come into the cabin and Jesse is telling Angie that no one can know he’s alive and she says that they came there to shut out the rest of the world. He puts his hands on her face and she has tears in her eyes. When she says can it be just you and me? And she says “Please”….”Just you & me”. And J kisses her cheeks, then her cheek, then she kisses his cheek, and then they share their first kiss in 20 years. I was in pure tears.

Meredith–girl are you seeing what Jangie is saying! She is ditto’ng everything you’ve mentioned on another Board. Weren’t you the 1st to call the love scene in the cabin “The Door” (LOL).

Jangie-girl continue to bask in the glow of JnA. They made that 20 year gap feel like 20 minutes, ya hear! I also loved how after Angie told Jesse “I will HUNT YOU DOWN and find you!” Jesse looked at her and said
“Do you even know how MUCH I love you?” Whoa. I was totally, completely, indubitably UNDONE.
And Smiley, I too have been glued since J. Hub walked back on the scene on Jan. 25. My friends and I waited with bated breath and a reverent silence when Jesse Hubbard walked into Frankie’s room. I’ve been (re)hooked since! And, yes, this is the ONLY site I’ve seen that’s ALL ABOUT THE HUBBARDS. I’m thankful!

Jhgrl–When Jesse said “Oh God” you can tell he meant it! It’s like everything in him was fighting but he could not resist the love of his life.
Those scenes were HOT–not just because of the sexiness but the underlying sense of devotion and sacrifice. Angie played it like “I need you, I need you” while Jesse came off like “I do too but.”
Such simple scenes, but so complex.
On side note–I envy you re: Manhattan! Love the city. I still dream of a Brownstone in Brooklyn but I LOVE Manhattan.

I watched the show this evening on SoapNet…Damn…that Jesse…he’s GORGEOUS!!! Some men wish they could look that good at any age! He and Angie were just talkin’ like they were actually livin’ it! Acting…It’s like they’re really married!
She kept everything!!! I’m glad AMC gave us that…I didn’t expect that and it was a real treat. That is the 3rd best set of scenes so far…next to the train and cabin of course…they can’t top that train…I still get teary eyed thinkin’ about it!
If that isn’t the reing…AMC could have gone to a pawn shop or somethin’ to try and recreate it…if they can even remember! Don’t they know we would!! Are minds think back like toddlers and we remember everything!
I see Krystal looks like she’s planning a “Coming Out Party” as she called it for them. They went to another scene before she could say for sure.
If she gives them the party and they go to the justice of the peace to renew their vows…I’ll take the party as e “Reception”. I’m flexible. Pine Valley needs to get to know them and reacquaint themselves for those who knew them (Tad, Joe, Adam, Erica, Jack, Myrtle, Palmer and Opal…did I miss anyone?). Maybe they’ll let Ruth out the attic!

RJ, those cabin scenes are my favorite ( along w/ all J&A scenes). Here’s another one of my favs from the cabin. At the end of the show ( the train scene episode) when Jesse wants to leave in order to protect Angie….she says “Talk to me, baby” and he says how long he’s waited for this moment and that he wants her so bad. She says, “You says you’ve always loved me. And I’ve never asked you to prove that.” And Jesse starts crying. (I was a puddle) The way he started to cry when she said that was so beautifully heartbreaking. B/c he has always loved her and he knows that she knows that.

RJ - I don’t know how many times I have watched that scene but it is always fresh and exciting. I have never tired of watching any of their scenes. That’s because as our beloved Jesse said today,”The magic is still there. It’s beyond belief.” He didn’t lie. I have known real life couples who couldn’t fathom the kind of passion and devotion these two amazing actors conjure up.
They are a joy to watch. They get better every day and I hope TPTB understand just how much love there is for these two. Otherwise they will feel the wrath!
