We R talking about Jesse w/ Natalia vs. Frankie. Bonding & such. Maybe I missed some eppys but Natalia & Jesse haven't been exactly bonding etc. This is the main reason why I didn't feel the daughter/father chemistry between Darnell & Shannon, b/c they didn't have many scenes together. |

I think what it is is that it stuck out like a sore thumb yesterday in that we had Jesse having alone time with Nattie and having none with Frankie.
The way it was presented, it wasn't Jesse's fault that he didn't spend any private time with Frankie... it was the writers's if that makes sense.
There was no reason for them to exclude a scene with Frankie and Jesse alone talking about his birthday (heck Frankie could have told Jesse about that horrendous meal he made for himself and Angie that one year) when they showed a scene with Jesse and Natalia talking about his past birthdays.
Given the choice, how many viewers would have preferred hearing that Nattie gave Jesse the same mug every year and about how this family, a family we have no investment in, had a candlelite cupcake in private every year since Jesse was "in hiding" as opposed to hearing Frankie tell his dad some of the things he did to honor him on his birthday?
I think that is the bug up the butt... we were treated to the goings on of a family we care nothing about and given nothing about the family we do care about.

My, my, my we have been busy today I see. Anyway, I know that we can attribute most things to the horrible writing of the storyline for Angie and Jesse.
But I am curious (I guess) by the fact that Natalia talks as if Jesse is not related to her at times(if in fact he is her daddy), She often says things like today...
"My mom, would make it for my dad when he needed to eat healthy" not exactly word for word. It's as if she is talking about someone other than him. Or at least she speaks as if he is not in the same room. Just an observation.... I have never been a fan of Natalia. When she was introduced she was shady and I am not changing my mind on that.[b] I just think Pratt caught so much flack for it that he changed directions with her character since he killed off Rebecca. But I digress, my point is she often speaks like that. Just makes me wonder if there is still more the Ratt is leaving out. Since he is in the habit of flying by the seat of his pants.

I feel ya on more Crap coming. All of a sudden Natalia mentions Jesse hiding out after we were led to believe he lived a normal, happy life.

I can totally see that. There are just a lack of details about his life back then. Like when was Natalia told about what really happened and why Jesse was "hiding" out? Rebecca said when she first came on that Jesse never lied to them ( well she referred to "us") which sounds to me like Nat was already in the picture...
If Becky was his doctor how is it that he ended up in her bed and living with her? Why put them in danger if he was afraid of doing that to Angie and Frankie?
See this is what happens because his EGO(Pratt's) would not allow him to keep with the history of what had been written to even bring Jesse back from the "dead". So many of the gaps could have been filled in he had just respected their history and then added HIS take on the story from there. JMO though.

I did read that Natalia was supposed to be a Bad Girl when she appeared on the scene, now they have changed her as you said.
Pratt has been heavily criticized for the messed up timeline. I bet he goes back to the original story he had Jesse tell, which was Jesse met the other woman Years Later and there was a connection he didn't run from (Natalia) which leads me back to Jesse's they were just a Cover comment.

ular opinion,I feel compelled to share
it. Due to Pratt's heinous storytell-
ing and rewrite of Jesse's story,I can
no longer admire or support,with my
whole heart,Angie and Jesse as a cou-
ple. Why? because thanks to Pratt and
his staff or should I say accomplices,
I no longer respect either one of them.
Jesse I have no respect for because of
his lies,the disrespect he showed Angie
early on in the storyline,the disre-
spect he showed Frankie by expecting
him to "get over it" and let him out of
the doghouse in record time,like Angie
did,and if I'm really being honest,
I can't respect a black man for shack-
ing up with his white "baby mama" for
20 years. I wouldn't respect that in
real life,why would I do so in fiction.
Not that I was so impressed with Angie
and Cliff,because I wasn't,but there's
something about Jesse staying with Reb-
ecca of SunnyBrook Farm i.e. ww that
gives me acid reflux. Just saying.
And Angie forgiving all of this and
falling more and more in love with him
each day,makes no sense to me whatso-
ever. As someone else said,he hasn't
done anything to earn it. Why he would
love her,makes perfect sense,she's
shown her deservedness,but what has he
done,except risk losing the little
professional integrity he had left,to
help her get her job back. That's it
WOW. Big deal! But to be honest,
Jesse could give Angie one of his kid-
neys right about now,and I still
wouldn't be impressed. I know this
board is supposed to be about A/J love
but I'm just not feeling it now. Be-
sides,when you truly love someone,aren't
you supposed to rebuke and chasten them?
Not judge or condemn but rebuke and
chasten? |

This is our point in regards to Pratt and the awful writing for their characters. This is why we need to continue to express our displeasure for Pratt and his lack of writing ability for the whole show really. All I can say is if we stop watching now then Pratt gets exactly what he wants, and that is to do away with AnJ just so he can create HIS own characters and once again make it all about Zendall and Erica and her crew. I think if we yell loud enough for long enough maybe they will put his butt out and then someone with actual talent and a gift for writing can fix this mess he has made!
JMHO-- I personally will not stop watching just because it has gotten bad. Its kind of like not supporting your home team just because they had a bad season and lost a lot of games. At the end of the day you still support them. Its not their fault the storyline has been poorly written and if we all acknowledge and know this then I dont see why we stop showing support for the characters until it gets better. Just my .02
