I didn't wanna believe it but the lack of writing for AnJ, IMO, is coming down to a race issue. That is a damn shame. Look at the progress, the incredible history our country has made this past November. All of that and we cannot get daytime to write for AA characters?! Pratt (and TPTB) cannot and does not respect or care about the history of Angie & Jesse. That was evident in that debacle s/l w/ Rebecca. Pratt also doesn't know how to write for AA.....either he doesn't write for them or when he does they R stereotypical. We have 2 characters who made history as the 1st AA supercoule, 2 amazing actors portraying them, 3 daytime Emmy's between them, And this, THIS, is the lack of respect and crap their given? Its just ridiculousness.

Hi! To answer your question,as to
whether people who like and support
Randi,will continue to do so ,if she
gets smart with Jesse,my answer is
a very definite "yes". I like Randi,
as I've stated before,and right about
now,I'm so disappointed in "Jesse" due
to Pratt's heinous rewrite of his story
(so I know it's not Darnell or "Jesse's
fault)but still,I'm so not feeling
him right now,that I'm actually looking
forward to any heat that comes his way.
Especially since I think he got off
easy with Angie and Frankie over Re-
blocka. Even though I prefer happy and
functional(as opposed to dysfunctional
Hubbards)I really have no problem with
any of Jesse's family,immediate or soon
to-be family,giving him some grief.

Their story was rushed. We still have yet to figure out WHY Randi felt like it was her last resort to be a "lady of the night". This can be blamed on bad writing until the cows come home but its due to the acting, or should I say NON acting, from Deise Vasi. Im not invested in Randi and Im not gonna like her simply b/c she's w/ a Hubbard. B/c I have a strong feeling that if Randi was paired w/ another male on AMC she wouldn't be so well received. JMO. |

RIGHT...ITS ALL BASED ON THEM "BABY BLUES" OF HERS AND WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE ...SORRY I'M STILL NOT MOVED BY THIS S/L PERIOD! I'VE ALSO HAD THE SAME STANCE ...IT WAS RUSHED AND SILLY AS HELL..IMHO I BELIEVE IT WAS CONSTRUCTED SO THAT FRANKIE COULDN'T HAVE A LOVE THAT COULD MIRROR HIS PARENTS ..

And this is the sad part, IMO. The fact that a legacy, core character in AMC's history could/would be less like and received than a newbie like Randi.
I will say this: No one was more pissed off w/ Jesse than me. That whole Rebecca s/l mess damn near ruined him. But I still support this character even though Pratt seems to be trying his damnedest to destroy him.

| February 25, 2009 @ 11:20pm | Look! Forget all this other stuff! I started watching AMC again for Jesse, Angie and Frankie Hubbard!!
Not to watch some bed hoppin, backstabbin', pill poppin, man stealin, psysho doc falling in love with her patient, having his baby then showing up a year after he remarried his presumed widow, and then pairing his son up with some hooker hoe! This was the dumbest thing I have ever seen on television! And I still don't know who shot JR Ewing!
I came back for the love that brought them together in the first place. What the hell happened to that!? I didn't want to watch that happy reunion, then turn around and watch Kendall, Greenlee, Bianca, Reese, Zack, Aiden, Ryan, Adam, Erica ( and that God awful neck!) and Opal and that dayum dress she wore at the wedding that still gives me nightmares.
I came back here for Angie and Jesse and guess what!? Im leaving for Angie and Jesse! Pratt has ruined that show period! Im beginning to wonder if he's getting a "BONUS" if that show goes under!
Damn! This crap is making me not wanna watch anymore!

WOW! You are so right I really get pissed when I see they are not on. I have started recording on my DVR. So I can fastforward and not watch that other crap.It's getting hard to watch AMC because this new writing team have messed up the AnJ s/l. But I will continue to watch because of the love I have for DM/DW. They don't deserve this. |
