| Weekend Inspiration Chatter 3/21-22 | March 21, 2009 @ 2:40am | GOOD MORNING AnJ NATION!
I pray that you all had a great nightS rest. I thank God for keeping us all safe and sound while we slept and for waking us up to another one of his BEAUTIFUL days.
My Inspiration post will be a little different this weekend. The poem below I wrote for one of my spiritual sisters about 3 years ago. I ran across it the other day and realized that I could have written this poem for any one of my beautiful sisters that have crossed my path in the past few years. So, I am dedicating it to all of my Sisters in the nation. I love you all...GOD BLESS! a*
OVERFLOW OF LOVE AND FAVOR
Our sisterhood I will forever cherish.
I pray this bond we have through Christ will never perish.
It was by God's divine plan
(because our names are written in the palm of his hand)
That we would cross each others path in this walk with God.
Our Friendship is for real, it's no way a facade.
Thanks fo the many times you have been obedient to the Lord,
With his Spirit you were on one accord.
You heard his voice and you made a choice,
To bless me in my times of need.
With prayers and encouraging words you planted a seed.
I am confident becuase of the fiathfulness of our Lord and Saviour.
Your life will continue to have an overflow of HIS love and favor.

I am calling on all your prayers right now. Yesterday, in the city of Oakland, state of California, four officers were involved in a deadly shooting after a routine traffic stop. They were all critically wounded. Today, it is reported that three of those officers have lost their lives. The gunman was also killed yesterday.
I don't condone violence against the police. I believe they are here to serve and to protect. But Oakland is known for their police officers being brutal against the citizens. I've known people who have lived good lives in Oakland but left it behind because of the police brutality and the gangs. That being said, I ask that we pray for the officers families and the family of the gunman. I ask that we send up strong prayers for the one officer that is fighting for his life today. He's still critical but it's not looking good.
I saw the picture yesterday of two police motorcycles and saw the blood on the streets. I can only imagine what went on. It was a senseless act of violence that could have been avoided!
